Deer processing knives FYI

TSC has a couple of deer processing knives for 15 bucks. It is a 2 knife set with sheath and sharpener built in. They are technically fillet knives but they have a short and long one. The short one would be an excellent deboning knife and the other would not be a bad one either but it's a little long. Good steak cutter for sure. Not sure the quality of steel but we will find out this afternoon. It's a good starter set for the money I am thinking.

I use two of those moraknivs beentown had at strouds (thanks for the heads up buddy) and two filet knives. Can normally get 2 or 3 Der done before I need to touch up or resharpen.

I use 1.00 flea market professional butcher knives that have been sharpened many times to about a 5" length. Good high quality steel. Plus I picked up a 50 cent thrift shop short sharping steel. I carry both in my backpack for field dressing. Then use on butchering.

I'm happy with my purchase and may buy another set to keep just in case
