Take a moment to remember that on Dec. 7, 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbor for the start of WW11 for the United States.
Then on Dec. 11 Hitler declared war against the USA. No one has ever figure that one out yet.

Well, it was figured out ... already in advance for that matter. " Hitler was convinced that the United States would soon beat him to the punch and declare war on Germany after japan bombed us. The U.S. Navy was already attacking German U-boats, and Hitler despised Roosevelt for his repeated verbal attacks against his Nazi ideology. He also believed that Japan was much stronger than it was, that once it had defeated the United States, it would turn and help Germany defeat Russia. So at 3:30 p.m. (Berlin time) on December 11, the German charge d'affaires in Washington handed American Secretary of State Cordell Hull a copy of the declaration of war."

Sad day for America. Unfortunately, I did not see a single thing about it other than your post on here Frank.

I was reading some stuff on it yesterday while hunting. It's hard to believe 2400+ people were killed that day and some 100+ injured. Sad day for sure.

You look at the results of "little boy" and "fat man" and the numbers were ridiculous. The Japanese sure were right when they said they woke a sleeping giant.

Thoughts and prayers to our service men and women always.
