This year we found a recipe to deep fry our turkey.

It called for the turkey to soak in a salt and dark brown sugar brine.

The turkey soaked in the brine from 8:30 last night till about 10:30 this morning. At that point it came out of the brine and sat at room temp for about 30 minutes and then into the peanut oil.

And with refreshments.

After a hour in the peanut oil it came out looking like this and tasted even better than it looked.

Deep fried is THE BEST way to go. Looks awesome Steve!! Enjoy.

This year my sister is in charge of the bird so I think it's going into the roaster, which is still good, just not fried-good. I'll have the fryer out for Christmas hopefully.

Deep Frying is the way to go! I injected the bird with different liqued additives and put a cajun rub on it. :smiley_cooking:
