I'm canceling my Illinois hunt and coming to Ohio instead. The bottom line is I'm broke and can't afford to hunt Illinois this year. Illinois will cost me just under $800 and coming home to Ohio will run $300 less. Gas is the big expense.
Last week I gained access to about 400 acres of new property that doesn't get much hunting pressure. I'm going to write off the doe season failure as "right place, but wrong time of the season".
Now, I will tell you this. If I'm seeing some quality bucks in PA I may stay here and hunt, but with any luck I'll fill my PA buck tage before Nov 11.
So for now I'll be in Ohio from 12 to 17 November. I'll probably hunt Illinois next year.
