Building a Pedestal

Some of you may have seen the mule deer my buddy Zach shot last month in Nebraska. I scored it out at 172 inches. Anywho, Zach has a taxidermy and butcher shop in Sugar Grove, Ohio. On the 22 hour drive home I over heard him talking to his lead taxidermist about having someone build a pedestal...I stopped the conversation right there and told him I would take care of it. I took a couple hours off today and threw this together. I'm going to replace the leaves with sand to replicate the area where he shot it and paint Nebraska 2013 on the "plaque" but think it's looking pretty good.

One little tip for anyone that does out of state hunts......while you hunting or after your harvest pick things up from the area/landscape for doing this kind of stuff. That fence post is from Nebraska obviously so is the muley shed and antelope skull.

Here is my 175" Ohio buck from 2007 that has the same wide 170" frame and a semi sneak like Zack is using on his Muley
