Dad wanted to order bare shafts and make our arrows from scratch. So I agreed.

Ehh? Decent but not great. Happy for my first time. My cresting needed some work. They will be good enough though. Just shot the first one and it flew like a dart!

Those look great. What dye are you using to stain the shalfs. I use leather dye because it is alcohol based and dries super fast. I use model paint for the crest bands. I also do the clear coat before I crest mine.

We have a log house so we had plenty of stains laying around from hardwood floors and all. But we also used min wax stain and finish. We used the testors model paint for our cresting as well. I did a clear coat after staining and 2 more after cresting.
