Does anyone shoot a Barnett crossbow? Do you like it? Safe? Reliable?

I'm considering a Barnett Quad 400 with the built-in crank cocking system.

Thoughts, opinions?

My dad has one and it is loud as hell. It scares me to cock that thing and scares me worse to pull the trigger. I'll never own a Barnett...
