Carp and Mullberrys

I should have posted this already .....but

OK
Carp like mullberrys
They act like trout , taking a floating mullberry off the surface

So if you have a creek or river , probely even a pond with mullberry trees along it
Have fun and catch some carp

2 ways I have done it

Easy way with a light spinnig rod is to hook a nice ripe mullberry with a #4 hook and lob it upstream of the feeding carp
Letting it drift down over them
They will suck it off the surface and the fight is on
OH , no weight

My favorite way is with a fly rod
A simple black fly that looks like a mullberry
Got to keep the fly floating

OH BTW carp will spook super easy
So you need to wade slowly
But if you smack the mullberry fly or real one down on the water
It seems to draw the carp in

I don't eat them
But I was told the carp taste great after eating mullberrys for a while
