These pictures were taken behind my house. aa 9.JPGa 9.JPG

These pictures were taken 2 miles from my house.aa9.JPGa9.JPG

It suprises me that this deer travled that far this time of year when he had a nice corn pile to eat from.

What do you guy think made him do this?

I think its probably because he's a deer. They wander around, have nothing better to do. I've watched deer travel from woodlot to woodlot, with a mile of open ground between them for no apparent reason. This was in open country, but I suspect its the same most anywhere.

Bingo.. I have gotten pictures of two bucks on the same night in September 1.75 miles apart . They showed up on one cam around 11pm and were on the other cam around 4am. Deer move around lots more than people think. It's not only for does or food, I think it's just because they want to. They just wander around at night for no apparent reason sometimes.

Ive been putting cameras up in both of these spots for 6 years now. This is the first time I have got a picture of the same buck on both cameras. I know 2 miles isnt much for a buck to roam. But it depends on the terrain. imo. Here they have no reason to travel that far. imo
It was just a first and i was supprised by it. I was also supprised when I checked the camera in back of my house this morning. And this buck was back at 5am. today.
