Funny you should post this as I learned for the first time last weekend that each animal has enough brain matter to tan it's hide. That was news to me...

:pickle:It is a ton of work! My hippie-mountainman-landowner does it. I told him he needed to start keeping a squaw around to chew the hide. His only response was that he liked squaws with no teeth... Haven't a clue what that means, but it doesn't seem like they'd be much good at getting the buckskin soft. :smiley_chinrub:
