The good news is I know Jack survived youth season...

The bad news is it looks like my buddy's arrow might have done some damage. It is hard to tell in the video once it is uploaded, but on my computer you can see the wound on his front left leg...

The strange part is this video was taken less than 48 hours after their encounter and he acts relatively fine...

I suppose it could have been a youth season encounter that lead to it, or maybe after it got infected, it swelled up and started to bother him. In the picture from the 22nd, you can tell his leg is swollen and he is obviously licking it in the first video. It doesn't appear to be life threatening and it may be a good thing as it could keep him nocturnal from here on out. It is fuggin' torture hunting deer you have history with at times! Right Cotty!?!

It looks like he has a sprained and swollen knee. Who knows maybe it is infected. At least he is still putting weight on it. Hope it heals and doesn't affect his antler growth next year.

That was my thought as well. I figured that maybe because it was just a flesh wound, it didn't bother him at first. But when it got infected, it caused swelling and the limp. We got to looking a little closer at the picture and you can see the wound. I don't think it was a gun or it would have shattered his leg...
